Healthy and tasty shakes.

Introduction to shakes.

Shakes are the drinks that are speedy,portable,handy and usually low in calories. They nutrify our bodies and keep us away from several health disorders. Different kinds of shakes carries different Vitamins and Minerals. They are nutritious as they contain Carbohydrates, Vitamins, Minerals and Protiens.

Almond shake.


  1. 3 cups of milk

  2. 1 cup of almonds soaked overnight

  3. 3/4 cup of sugar

  4. 1-2 cup of water

  5. Cardamom 6 pods

  6. Saffron a few strands


Granulate almond with cardamom and sugar. Then add milk into the blender and process with the other ingredients. Add 1 or 2 cups of water as the thickness consistency desired. Decorate with saffron strands. Serve chilled.

Avocado shake


  1. 1 ripe avocado seeded and roughly chopped.

  2. 2 cups of soya milk.

  3. 1 cup vanilla ice-cream.

  4. 3 tsp sugar.

  5. Avocado wedges for garnishing.


Mix soya milk, vanilla ice-cream, avocado and sugar in a blended jar to make it a smooth mixture. Pour the delicious drink into the glasses and garnish with a piece of avocado. The reason we added vanilla ice-cream is that if we add any other flavour ice-cream, the avocado flavour gets lost.

Papaya shake.


  1. 1 cup ice-cubes.

  2. Cardamom powder.

  3. Sugar.

  4. Milk.

  5. 1 cup chopped papaya.


Put the chopped papaya pieces into the jar, add some sugar into it. Add half or one-fourth amount of milk and blend the mixture until the papaya turns smooth. Now add the remaining milk and ice-cubes and blend well. Then pour it into the glasses and serve fresh.

Chikoo shake.


  1. 2 chikoos.

  2. 2 cups of milk.

  3. 1 cup sugar.

  4. 1 cup vannila ice-cream.

  5. Whipping cream for garnishing.


Chop the chikoos into small pieces. Put them in the blender. Add sugar and milk to it. Blend well. Pour it into the glass. Add 1 scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top of the glass. Garnish it with the help of whipped cream. You may also add a cherry if you wish to.
